Are discount brokers worth the savings they promise? The real estate market is still in a frenzy, and homes are selling with multiple offers, so if you’re a homeowner, you may be thinking that you can just throw your home on the market at any price and buyers will line up down the street. However, that’s not the case. You can’t just toss your home on the market and hope to sell for top dollar without doing the things necessary to get it.
Let’s say you’re looking to sell a used car. You could either go to the Rene Luxury Vehicle Lot or the discount lot down the block that doesn’t do much business; the luxury lot will get you more money. A discount broker will try very hard to convince you that you can just take some photos with your smartphone, list the home, and buyers will come flocking.
Well, some buyers do come, but when they do, they notice the home hasn’t been prepared or maintained, and they’ll wonder if this is the house for them. They’ll look around and decide the home doesn’t feel right and walk away. The house down the street has an identical floor plan and is priced the same but is listed with the Rene Team, luxury brokers. We’ll give our sellers better advice, apply a fresh coat of paint, stage, declutter, and make the home feel warm and inviting. That will create a lineup of buyers virtually and physically.
