Many home sellers also need to be homebuyers in the same busy market. In this market, sellers are often getting multiple offers and homes are selling quickly. If a buyer has a property they need to sell, their offer is less attractive to sellers. At the same time, most homeowners don’t want to move twice. They want to sync up both transactions.

1. Buy your new home with cash. This is obviously not an option for everyone.

2. Borrow equity against your current home with a bridge loan or HELOC.
