The real estate market is showing signs of shifting. Every week, people are asking me what this might mean for buyers.
We’ve been in a seller’s market for a while now, but we are seeing signs of a shift to a buyer’s market. This means that things should be less competitive with fewer bidding wars on homes. When the pandemic began, interest rates plummeted, and people started buying homes like crazy. You could go to a showing and have to stand in a line that wrapped around the block.
People may start to spread out more so that the demand isn't nearly as concentrated. Buyers can now make offers without waiving contingencies or using other strategies to stand out. You can now enter the home-buying process with a lot more options. You don’t need to put offers in immediately or on properties you don’t truly want.
If you have any questions on how to navigate this shifting market, feel free to give me a call. I’m right here in the trenches every day, and I’d love to help you.
